Kangaroo Captured in Germany Reunited With Herd

Lost Kangaroo Found After Escaping Enclosure

Halle (Germany) - A kangaroo that escaped from its enclosure at an alpaca farm in Halle (Saale), Germany, has been recaptured.

"Mr. Goethe" Returns Home

The kangaroo, named "Mr. Goethe", was found in the Grenzweg district of Halle on Tuesday evening and was returned to the Alpakahof farm, where he had escaped from on Monday.

Kangaroo's Escape and Capture

The four-year-old kangaroo had escaped from its enclosure at the farm on Monday morning and had been on the run ever since. The police and animal welfare organizations had been searching for the animal.

Mr. Goethe was eventually found by a passerby who spotted him in the Grenzweg district. The kangaroo was then taken into the care of the animal welfare organization "Tierhilfe Halle".

The animal welfare organization then contacted the Alpakahof farm, which was able to confirm that the kangaroo was theirs. Mr. Goethe was then returned to the farm, where he was reunited with his herd.

Kangaroos in Germany

Kangaroos are not native to Germany and are usually found in Australia and Papua New Guinea.

However, there are a number of kangaroo farms in Germany, where the animals are kept for breeding and tourism purposes.

The Alpakahof farm in Halle is home to a herd of kangaroos, as well as alpacas and other animals.
