Renard Will Lead Les Bleues At World Cup

Hervé Renard has been appointed as the new head coach of the France women's national team until 2024. The French Football Federation (FFF) announced the news on Thursday, following the sacking of Corinne Diacre.

Renard, 55, has a wealth of experience in international football, having previously coached Zambia, Ivory Coast, and Morocco. He led Zambia to their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations title in 2012, and also guided Ivory Coast to the final of the competition in 2015.

Renard's appointment comes just months before the start of the FIFA Women's World Cup, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20. France are one of the favorites to win the tournament, and Renard will be tasked with guiding them to their first World Cup title since 2011.
