2023 FIM Motocross World Championship Round 15 Recap
MXGP of Sweden
Recap
After a week's break, the FIM Motocross World Championship resumed in Uddevalla, Sweden, for the 15th round of the season. The race was held in wet and sloppy conditions, which made for a challenging day of racing. In the end, it was Team HRC's Tim Gajser who took the victory, ahead of Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing's Jeremy Seewer and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Tom Vialle.
Gajser got a good start and led the race from start to finish. Seewer was able to close the gap in the final laps, but he ultimately had to settle for second place. Vialle finished third, ahead of Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing's Glenn Coldenhoff and Kawasaki Racing Team's Romain Febvre.
The victory gives Gajser a 12-point lead in the MXGP standings over Vialle. Seewer is third, 25 points behind Gajser. The championship will resume next weekend with the MXGP of Finland.
