FC Barcelona overcame a 2-0 deficit to secure a thrilling 3-2 victory over Wolfsburg in the UEFA Women's Champions League semi-final on Sunday, June 4, 2023. The match was played at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona.
Wolfsburg dominated the first half, taking an early lead through Ewa Pajor in the 15th minute. Alexandra Popp doubled the German side's advantage just before halftime.
Barcelona came out firing in the second half, with Patri Guijarro pulling one back in the 50th minute. Just six minutes later, Caroline Graham Hansen equalized, setting the stage for a grand finale.
With just over 10 minutes remaining, Fridolina Rölfo scored the winning goal for Barcelona, sending the home crowd into a frenzy. The Spanish giants will now face Lyon in the final on June 11.
